Fusing acrylic and fur, an odd idea which ISABEL ENGLEBERT did not hesitate to try. Her couture jewelry mix tradition and modernity. The Argentine designer uses silver, gold, precious and semi-precious stones, leather, and more innovative materials such as acrylic. She uses classical goldsmith techniques, but also 3D printing and laser cutting.
The result ? A collection of impressive and audacious pieces. Her last collection, called “London”, offers a range of geometrical turf green jewels: a furry clutches which looks like an envelope, a cuff bracelet also covered with hair and acrylic, or a stands-on-its-own choker necklace.
Combining past and future, hard and soft materials, gives birth to creations of timeless modernity. And the guarantee to stand out for those who wear it !
ISABEL ENGLEBERT gets inspiration from her home country: Argentina, for the cow leather for instance, but also from her travel, mainly Africa for its peculiar jewelry.
The designer first sketches the centrepiece of the collection and then works with a goldsmith, adjusting and changing the piece until it perfectly embodies the designer’s vision. This is the first product of the collection which then inspires and unifies the rest of the jewels. A keystone of the whole collection, or an “alma master piece”, the designer likes to say.
ISABEL ENGLEBERT also makes special pieces on demand. The client is welcome to be part of the creative process from the design to the choice of materials with ISABEL ENGLEBERT. She said yes for a FOCUS.
