GRAPHICS-FEST // Celebration in Paris

The second edition of the Graphics-Fest is being held right now in Paris until next March 4th. The occasion to push forward this field that often combines design and commercial purpose for brands, but not only.

This event has the purpose of promoting this line of work that attracts a lot because of its strong creative aspect but also to introduce the public to graphics through several themes: the environment, the art of graphics, poetry, work rights and many others.

The different areas dedicated to the Graphics-Fest are free and are aimed at all publics. If you are to take your final high school exam this year and you don’t know what field of work to consider, this event is a good opportunity to meet the schools and professionals of the field.

Alejandro Magallanes signed the poster for this year’s edition, a talented Mexican graphic artist who already participated in the first edition of Graphics-Fest.

The Other Sight can’t get to everything, even if it would be magical, we concentrated on the exhibition set at the Hôtel de Ville. The city of Paris together with JC Decaux called on 39 international graphic artists around one subject: celebrating Earth. It is within the framework of the Paris Climate Conference (COP21), which is taking place at the end of 2015.

You will certainly notice a variety of approaches when it comes to the vast theme that is the earth: climate, social, scientific or just plain human.
