• Could you please present yourself ?

  My name is Michal Marko,  i’m 39 years old from Israel. Married and a proud mother of 2 daughters. I’m a self taught illustrator and a graphic designer. Owner of the brand Micush, where I produce various lifestyle products decorated by my original illustrations and designs.

• Where did you get this interest for design ?

  Making illustrations has always been a main attraction for me, even as a little girl. Eventually, as I grew up, I decided to study graphic design, but soon enough I re-discovered my love for illustrating and started to make new designs with my own illustrations.

• What is the key word of your work ?

  Nature

• What are your inspirations ?

  My main inspiration is the nature that surrounds us: the animals, trees, flowers, leafs, landscapes and combination of it all. Whenever I need an idea for a new illustration or pattern design, I take a small road trip with my family to the outdoor and get inspired.

• What is your favourite piece of your current collection and why ?

  It’s hard to choose my favourite one, and the choice keeps changing with time. But I think the Wild Horse illustration, which is part of the pillow collection and prints collection is definitely one of my favorites. The reason I love it so much is the combination between boho style and my favorite animal 🙂

• What are your future projects ?

I’m currently working on a new paper collection which will introduce 30 new designs and also a new collection of kitchenware. It will all be ready at around the end of August and I’m very excited and thrilled to finally see the products !
