- Could you please present yourself ?
I am Hirono, designer and founder of SAPHIR EAST. I started working as a freelance designer fifteen years ago. Then I gradually created avant-garde custom orders. I then started my very own brand SAPHIR EAST ten years ago. Since my designs were very much ahead of their time, I got published in magazines and advertisements. So much that I got invited as a designer for overseas fashion week shows. Among my creations stands a piece I designed for Lady Gaga.
- Where did you get this interest for fashion ?
Since I was a kid, I learned painting and was lucky enough to be close to everything related to art. I therefore became very sensitive to all kinds of emotions derived from art itself. Ever since, my interest for art has evolved within the world of fashion and the evolving nature of the universe.
The concept and its related philosophy are deeply connected. This is what I really am in touch with. My biggest challenge is to translate this into my creations.

Love and philosophy.
- What are your inspirations ?
Ultimate time seen as the deepest reflection of my inner self…
- What is your favorite piece of the collection AW15 and why ?
I can’t choose any of them because the entire collection is me.
- What are your future projects ?
For the coming season I intend to study and create new shapes using ropes. What really catches my interest is white luxury and I will develop this in 2016. On January 7, 2016, I unveiled the international press room and salon in order to go worldwide.
