Martin d’Orgeval was born in 1973 in Paris. You can see his exhibition Revoir at the museum Maison Européenne de la Photographie.
For ten years Martin d’Orgeval gives a reflexion around lack of transparency , visibility and invisibility. Those concepts are very present in Martin d’Orgeval’s photography : reality’s representation is such that we can’t distinguish the volume of the image indeed, the relief, is very intense and almost palpable.
« Revoir talks about our desire to touch, our desire to believe, the role of ellipse, shadow, space, immateriality. »

The exhibition offers the possibility to the visitor to enter in Martin d’Orgeval’s artworks. The title of the exhibition Revoir (Review) is all about. The visitor sees and reviews. He observes, inspects and asks.
Notions of depth and relief are recurent issues whether for coloured photographs or black and white ones.

Furthermore, the light takes an imporant role at the Maison Européenne de la Photographie : the athmosphere changes depending on the luminosity into the room.

Throughout the exhibition we find out the omnipresence of the symmetry with the framework and also in the photographs. This is where the artist offers a constant review of his works.
