QUEL AMOUR !? // Museu Coleção Berardo

Last chance to discover the Quel Amour !? exhibition dedicated to love. All kinds of love and ways to show it. From the romance letter, to the song, with photography, poetry and painting, all possibilities are explored. The Love which turns you crazy, the Love which makes you think, the one which always surprise you but also the one which amaze you. One of our favourite portuguese museums, the Berardo Museum, has decided to focus on this topic and it’s with a real pleasure that we let the magic play.

Amar, Carlos Drummond de Andraden, em Claro enigma, 1951
The Hug, New-York City, 1980, Nan Goldin,
From Edith Piaf to Tony Franck, Paris, 1950

The selection is picky. Nothing is forgotten inside this curation. Classical artworks are presented beside contemporary artists, cultures are mixed, same for all generations.

Picture Emphasizing Stillness, David Hockney
Gérard Fromanger, Rouge, nus, 1994

The desire, the attraction between two persons and the birth of alchemy let things happen, but also making ask about future and the fact that it will stay or not. It’s sometimes, too fast, too beautiful to be real and the limit between fantasm and reality becomes vague.

Peindre et s’embrasser, 2017, Karine Rougier

Marseille and then Lisbon have been chosen to present this amazing exhibition. Two famous seaside cities which fascinate.

La mer et l’amour ont l’amer pour partage. ( French quote)

Pierre de Marboeuf
All By Myself, Nan Goldin, 1995
